The Vision of Life Groups
"Building relationships through small groups of 3 to 12 people that inspire growth to maturity in Jesus.  We create a safe environment in the context of small groups that are relevant and real, where the Bible is our guide and people are instructed to grow in their walk with Jesus."

The Purpose
Because people are looking for intimacy, wanting to know others and to be known, we strive to facilitate the development of healthy relationships with God, each other, and those in the world.  It is our goal to create an environment that enables adults to deepen their walk with:
God - to provide a place where adults can experience God in a real way, developing an understanding of and commitment to a life of training to know and become more like Him.
One Another - to build healthy relationships with one another in the context of community, learning to love, encourage, take risks, and being accountable to those in the group.
Self - to provide a place where adults can find healing and personal growth spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically.
World - to help each individual discover their gifts and use them by serving together as a group on a regular basis.

What is a Life Group?
We place a high premium on group-life at Christ's Church of Oronogo.  The reason for this is that, practically speaking, there will never be enough staff or elders to personally minister to everyone who attends our church.  We believe the small group is the best place where sustained life-change can occur.

It's in the life group environment where people study God's Word together and tackle the tough questions and challenges of life.  It's also where they pray and care for one another and are missed when they are gone.  A healthy small group should become almost like a family.  Small groups are. . .
A place to love others and to be loved by others.
A place to serve others and to be served by others.
A place to experience God and authentic relationships.
A place to be inspired and instructed on how to grow more like Jesus.
